A new full-color art book, has just been released. It’s the only book that focuses on the work of one customizer’s art, taking you on a trip from the Bronx of the 1970s to the contemporary art galleries of Los Angeles. It’s also a story of a kid whose street background could have led him in another direction in life, where fame and success aren’t the usual outcome.

For those not familiar with his work, Sole Junkie custom kicks are born in the true spirit of Hip Hop – building on what’s at hand and turning it into something entirely new. Sole Junkie focuses on his Latin heritage and his childhood images from Hip Hop’s birthplace in the Bronx. Images of Tito Puente, Notorious B.I.G., Pedro Albizu, and Celia Cruz grace his these wearable masterpieces.

The book takes us on a trip from Sole Junkie’s childhood in the Bronx during the golden age of graffiti and B-Boys all the way out to the west coast where he resides today. His kicks have graced nightclubs, concert stages and Fortune 500 company boardrooms.
