Beautiful/Decay Issue S

Description

For Issue S, Beautiful/Decay conjures up the dark arts to present an enigmatic mix of fine art, design, street art and music that is inspired by black magic, the occult, mayhem, the iconography of death and all things sinister. Issue S presents an eclectic mix of features from some of today’s best emerging and established artists.

Included are the punk influenced collages of Scott Treleaven, a design spread by Drew Liverman inspired by a 1604 manuscript from the Rosicrucian mystic order, and the work of Banks Violette, which combines youth culture’s excesses with minimalist form and draws on such ill-omened themes as death-metal, teenage suicide and ritual murder.
